DADU, June 30 An FIR of the murder of Sabir Soodro was registered on Wednesday against 16 persons including nine police officials.

Body of Sabir, brother of gang-rape survivor Kainat Soodro, was found in Naal area of Balochistan on Saturday. He was allegedly picked up from his home in Mehar by Warah police and some people of Buledi tribe on March 28.

Mehar police on the complaint of Zakia Soodro, mother of Sabir, registered the FIR under Section 364, 302, 148, 149 PPC.

In her complaint, she stated that some private persons and police officers raided her home in Mehar, showed an FIR of robbery and picked her son Sabir on March 28. But arrest of her son was not shown in any FIR.

She said that they warned the family to withdraw the gang-rape case of Kainat and on refusal they murdered her son on June 26. His body was found from Naal area of Balochistan.

Police arrested one of the accused police constable Shaman alias Lahooti Khoso.

Ali Hassan Buledi, Asad Buledi, Manthar Buledi, Shaman Khakhseli, Ihsan Ilyas Noomi Thebo (accused of gang-rape of Kainat Soodro), Saleem Ansari, Hakim Panhwar, police officials, SIO Mehar Shaman Khoso, SIO Warah Zulfiqar Channa, constable of Mehar investigation police Shaman alias Lahooti Khoso and six other unknown police officials were nominated in the FIR.

Kainat Soodro told reporters that the SHO and SPO of Mehar were providing shelter to the accused police officials nominated in the murder case of her brother.

She said that Mehar police did not arrest the accused who were issuing threats of killing to the family.

The family of Kainat threatened to stage a demonstration outside the Sindh chief minister and governor houses if the accused were not arrested with in 24 hours.
