KARACHI, Dec 6 Winter vacations will start in all government and private schools and colleges of Sindh from Dec 22 and will end on Dec 31.

According to a decision of the Sindh education department's steering committee, the annual examinations of all classes up to Class VIII in all schools of the province will be held in March and their results will be announced before March 31 so that the next academic session in schools could begin from April 1.

Meanwhile, sources in the education department told Dawn that as per a decision of the steering committee, all the principals of educational institutions, executive district officers of education and officials of boards of secondary and intermediate education had been reminded through circulars that the condition of 75 per cent must attendance of students must be fully implemented prior to acceptance of their examination forms.
