MIRPURKHAS: In a horrific incident, unknown assailants sneaked into a cattle pen and axed to death a 14-year-old youth who was sleeping inside. A few other persons were also sleeping at some distance from him but, according to them, they could not feel the movement and gruesome act of the intruders,

The incident took place in Allah Warayo Shoro village, in Sindhri taluka during the Saturday-Sunday night. The victim was identified as Dilmurad Shoro.

The area police shifted the body to the Mirpurkhas District Headquarters Hospital and launched a hunt for the killers. A postmortem examination was performed before the youth’s body was handed over to the heirs.

The police remained clueless about the killers as the bereaved family told them that they had no enmity with anyone. The heirs also did not lodge an FIR, the police said, adding that the case might be registered on behalf of the state to start an investigation.
