KARACHI: Seventy motorcycles were destroyed after a fire broke out in a carrier truck on the Superhighway in the Gadap area, rescue services said on Tuesday.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaan-ul-Haseeb Khan said by the time firefighters reached the scene, all the motorcycles and the heavy vehicle had been completely destroyed.

It caused an estimated financial loss of more than Rs30 million.
