ISLAMABAD: Around a dozen Dolphin Squad officers of the capital police were awarded certificates and cash prizes for their services on Tuesday.

Police said the officers were recognised for their exceptional work in capturing suspected criminals and recovering stolen items and illegal weapons during routine checks.

The officers were honoured at a ceremony held at the Islamabad Deputy Inspector General’s (DIG) office.

DIG Syed Ali Raza praised the officials for their dedication, courage and efficiency in executing official orders.

He acknowledged the recovery of 13 valuable mobile phones and two illegal firearms, including two SMG guns, an MP5 and a 9mm pistol with ammunition during separate operations recently.

Mr Raza emphasised that such efforts highlight the professionalism and commitment of the Islamabad police in ensuring public safety.

“I am proud of the efforts of all officers who have shown exemplary performance in their duties,” he said adding, “Your work not only strengthens the national security framework but also upholds the reputation of the Islamabad police at national and international levels.”
