TAXILA: The Ninth Multidisciplinary Student Research International Conference (MDSRIC 2024) concluded at University of Wah on Saturday, which addressed emerging technological, scientific and socio-economic challenges.

The two-day conference attracted over 150 participants including scholars and researchers from different countries. Renowned speakers from Turkiye and Pakistan gave informative presentations on a wide range of topics.

The discussions further encompassed areas like Data Science, Material Science, Electronics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering.

The conference included keynote addresses from distinguished Turkish scholars, such as Professor Nihal Buyukcizmeci, Professor Necla Cakmak, Professor Yasin Polat and Professor Ismail Sarpun.

Pakistani academics, including Professor Dr Nadeem Ahmad Bhatti, Professor Dr Mohammad Athar Siddiqui, Professor Dr Mohsin Siddiq, Professor Dr Muazzam Ali Khan Khattak, Professor Dr Abdul Rashid and D Saifullah provided valuable thoughts at the conference.

In his opening remarks, the university’s vice chancellor, Professor Dr Jameelun Nabi, accentuated the critical role of international partnerships in shaping a prosperous future.

He emphasised the need for robust scientific, economic, and cultural collaboration between brotherly countries Pakistan and Türkiye to promote world peace.

The chief guest, Professor Dr Anwarul Hassan Gilani, fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, applauded the University of Wah for organising a platform that encourages intellectual exchange between students and academics.

Dr Gilani also enlightened the audience with ‘Sustainable Development, focusing on Food Security and Health.

MDSRIC 2024 concluded with a resounding commitment to continued collaboration and exploration of emerging technologies and social challenges.

This commitment instilled a sense of hope and optimism about the potential for future partnerships and joint research projects initiated through the conference.
