LAHORE: The district administration on Sunday held a meeting of the Price Control Committee to focus on enforcing the official price list.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza who chaired the meeting asked price control magistrates to upload the photo of each check point.

He further asked them to be present in the field themselves and no representative was acceptable. “Each magistrate will issue the challan himself.”

The DC said he would not tolerate the sale of bread at higher prices and ordered strict action against bakers violating the official price list.

He asked price control meeting to meet daily and no negligence would be tolerated. Meanwhile, the district administration of Lahore released a report detailing recent trends in vegetable prices.

According to the report, the prices of eight key vegetables, including onions, potatoes and cabbage have decreased, while prices 12 vegetables, such as bitter gourd, cauliflower and spinach are stable. However, prices of garlic have increased.
