LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Friday sent the wife of former governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema to jail for her identification parade in the Jinnah House attack case.

Sarwar Road police presented Rabia Sultan before the court and sought permission to shift her to jail for the identity parade.

Judge Abher Gul Khan allowed the police to shift the woman suspect to jail for her identification parade. He directed the police to complete the process within four days.

The police had arrested Ms Sultan from the anti-terrorism court where she came to meet her husband who was brought from the jail on expiry of his judicial remand in the Askari Tower attack case.

Separately, Judge Abher Gul Khan granted Sarwar Road police three-day physical remand of PTI women’s wing leader Shabnam Jahangir in the Jinnah House attack case.

The police produced Ms Jahangir before the court and requested for her seven-day physical remand. However, the judge allowed the remand for three days.

Last week, the court had sent Ms Jahangir on judicial remand in the Askari Tower attack case.

The other day, the court granted her post-arrest bail in one case of torching police vehicles in Gulberg.
