KARACHI: A young man was shot at and wounded by armed muggers over resistance in Surjani Town on Saturday, police said.

They said that Azeem Shah, 24, put up resistance to the robbers when they tried to snatch cash, cell phone and valuables from him near Bhutto Chowk in Sector 4-D.

The young man suffered a bullet wound and was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Man killed over ‘family dispute’

A 36-year-old man was shot dead in Ittehad Town on Saturday.

Police said that Raheemullah was gunned down by firing of unknown suspects near W-25 bus terminus.

The police attributed some family dispute as probable motive of the murder. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfill legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old youth was shot at and wounded in Gulistan-i-Jauhar.

Police said that Muzammil Mir was injured by a stray bullet near Kamran Chowrangi. The injured was shifted to Aga Khan University Hospital for treatment.
