SWABI: Two people were injured seriously in a cylinder blast occurred in a junk yard in Kalodher village here on Tuesday.

A Rescue 1122 team reached the spot soon afterwards, provided the first aid to the critically injured men and shifted them to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor.

A rescue official told Dawn that the condition of the injured was critical.

The injured were identified as Akhtar Zaman, 18, and Khaista Khan, 46.

Separately, a man was killed after he was hit by a speeding car while crossing Shewa Adda-Dagai Road in Turlandi village on Tuesday. He was identified as Javid Khan.

A man and his wife were injured when a car overturned on the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway. They were shifted to Bacha Khan Hospital.
