TAXILA: Two men were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a recklessly driven dumper on G.T Road, a few yards from the office of the National Highway and Motorway Police, and in the limits of the Wah Saddar police station on Thursday.

Police and Rescue 1122 sources said 21-year-old Fida and 22-year-old Saqib, natives of Swabi, were working in a marble factory and were going back home when they met the accident.

Both men died on the spot. Their bodies were sent back to Swabi after their autopsies were conducted at the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Taxila.

The Wah Saddar police registered a case against the dumper driver and started further investigation.

In an unrelated development, the body of a man who went missing from outside his house in Khaliqabad, in the limits of the Hassanabdal police station, was found in a deserted area on Thursday.

The police said that 35-year-old Sharafat Anwar, who was a tailor, went missing on Wednesday. His body was found in the caves near Burhan by passersby who informed the police. His body was moved to THQ Hospital. The victim appears to have been shot multiple times.
