LAHORE: The national flag carrier has revised timings of various flights scheduled for Monday, according to a statement by the Pakistan International Airlines spokesperson.
The spokesperson said that fog was expected to persist for the next couple of days and was beyond the control of the airlines. He added that PIA had to adjust the timings of its flights as it could not operate flights with poor visibility and due to safety requirements. This resulted in either cancellation of flights or their delays.
PK 755 from Sialkot to Riyadh has been revised and will now operate as Lahore to Riyadh at 6am, PK 296 Abu Dhabi-Rahim Yar Khan-Lahore will operate as Abu Dhabi-Lahore. Flights PK 582, PK 583 Karachi-Rahim Yar Khan-Karachi, PK 390, PK 391 Karachi-Sukkur-Karachi, PK 588, PK 589 for the sectors Karachi-Bahawalpur- Islamabad-Bahawalpur-Karachi and PK 594, PK 595 for the sector Lahore-Sukkur- Lahore have been cancelled.
PK 340 and PK 341 for the sector Karachi-Faisalabad-Karachi will operate as Karachi- Lahore-Karachi. PK 650 and PK 651 for the sector Lahore–Islamabad-Lahore will operate with a delay of one hour.
Passengers can confirm the revised timings of their flights before reaching airports by calling the PIA call centre at 111-786-786.
