SUKKUR: A political activist, Sudheer Mirani, has gone missing while returning home in Ghotki after visiting Larkana on Wednesday, his relatives told journalists on Thursday.

Sudheer Mirani, the taluka organiser of the Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB), was accompanying his uncle Hashim Mirani in the visit, they said, adding that they were returning home in public transport vehicle on Wednesday.

“We lost contact with them all of a sudden and their mobile phones went off sometime in the evening,” they said.

All our efforts to locate them in the next 24 hours drew a blank, they said.

The Ghotki police were timely approached but there had been no clue yet to the missing men, they said.Meanwhile, PPP-SB spokesman in Ghotki Abdul Hayee Sawand said the party was launching a drive for the safe recovery of Sudheer Mirani and his uncle.
