MARDAN: Body of a five-year-old girl was found in the fields at Mady Baba locality here on Wednesday.

Nasir Khan, father of the slain girl, Tablika, lodged FIR with the Takhtbai police station, saying that his daughter had been missing since Wednesday morning.

He said that he along with his family members launched search for the minor girl and also made announcements on mosque loudspeakers in the surrounding areas.However, he said later in the day they found body of his daughter in the nearby fields with torture signs on her body.The father of the victim told police that they had no enmity with any one.

Officials of the Takhtbai police station began investigations to ascertain the motives behind the killing.
