KARACHI, Dec 10 Najeeb Ahmed, former president of the Karachi Press Club, died of cardiac arrest here on Thursday morning. He was 49.
He is survived by his mother, wife, three daughters and a son.
Born in Karachi, Mr Ahmed started his career as a journalist at Jasarat and worked later at Khabrain. He remained associated with Jang for 18 years until his death.
Mr Ahmed played an active role in the Karachi Union of Journalists and represented the journalist community as president, secretary and treasurer of the KPC.—APP
