THE FPSC has made it a habit to delay results of CSS written examinations every year. It keeps ignoring the fact that candidates at this age have to make difficult career choices and cannot miss other opportunities while waiting for CSS results.

Examinations for CSS 2011were conducted in February/March but results of the written examinations have not yet been announced.

The FPSC should improve the efficiency of its processes for checking papers and preparation of results so that papers can be checked within four to five months and the complete process of CSS can be reduced to seven to eight months.

Age relaxation

PRESIDENT Asif Ali Zardari should take immediate notice of the woes of talented and hardworking CSS aspirants who dream of joining civil service and are demanding the revival of age relaxation rules for CSS examinations but none of their efforts have bore fruit so far.

It may be recalled that former president Musharraf had reduced the upper age limit for CSS examinations from 30 years to 28years.

This move by the former president has hurt the interest of many educated youths of the middle and lower class, especially of Sindh, who want the upper age limit increased immediately
