KHUZDAR: Gunmen on two motorbikes killed Jumma Khan Raisani, a senior leader of the Balochistan National Party – Mengal (BNP-M), in an attack in Khuzdar district of Balochistan province.

Three others, including Mr Raisani’s bodyguard and driver, were also killed in the attack.

Authorities said Mr Khan was on his way home after offering Friday prayers at a mosque when the attack occurred.

The attackers managed to escape from the scene.

No one claimed responsibility. Both Taliban militants and separatist nationalists are involved in violence for years in the province that shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran.
