Man arrested impersonating govt officer

SARGODHA: Jhal Chakian police arrested a man impersonating a government officer and driving a car with official number plates and blue flashers.

The police stopped a suspicious vehicle during checking. The vehicle had official number plates and a blue flasher on its top. The driver identified himself as a senior government officer but when the police asked for his departmental card and documents, he could not give a satisfactory answer.

The police took the suspect, identified as Ali Nawaz, into custody and registered a case against him under the provisions of forgery and cheating.
