Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK bag victories

ISLAMABAD:Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) outclassed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-A 4-0 in a group-stage match of the Prime Minister National Women’s Under-21 Hockey Championship at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

Aleena Liaba, Alina, Hamna and Ayesha were on target as AJK secured a comprehensive victory.

In another match, Gilgit-Baltistan edged the Federal Directorate of Educ­ation 1-0, with Asheela scoring the winner.

Islamabad defeated Sindh-A 2-0 thanks to a brace from Mahnoor, while Sindh-C and Star Women played out a goalless draw.

The championship, featuring 16 teams, will conclude on July 10.
