KHUZDAR: The scrutiny of nomination papers for the by-election in National Assembly constituency NA-256 Khuzdar, vacated following the resignation of Sardar Akhtar Mengal, has been completed.

After reviewing the papers, the Returning Officer declared 19 out of 34 candidates eligible to contest the election. The approved candidates include Zafarullah Khan Sasoli, Shafiq-ur-Rehman Mengal, Shakeel Ahmed Durani, Abdul Hameed Baloch, Dr Huzoor Bakhsh Zehri, Yasir Ahmed Mengal, Mir Muhammad Iqbal Mengal, Mir Zaid Muhammad Hasni, Zafar Ahmed, Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Ayub, Ali Akbar, Abdul Khaliq, Murad Khan Sheikh, Atta Ullah, Maulvi Muhammad Hassan Shahwani, Khurshid Ahmed Rand, Jumma Khan Shakrani, and Maulvi Qamaruddin.
