Meanwhile, the police repulsed a terrorist attack on the Shahtora police post in Serai Naurang town of Lakki Marwat on Monday night.
A police official said around 15 terrorists launched the overnight attack but the cops deployed at the police post successfully foiled it.
He said that the policemen noticed the movement of militants with the help of thermal cameras and they responded effectively.
“The assailants used light and heavy weapons but they could not succeed in breaching the police post building,” he claimed, adding that a vigorous action by police forced the terrorists to flee.
It was the second attack on police installations during the last three days. On Saturday night, police had repelled a terrorist attack on Serai Gambila police station.
