NAROWAL: A fire erupted after a gas cylinder exploded during recanting at Bustan Stop on Narowal-Shakargarh Road, causing injuries to a man.

Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer Muhammad Aurangzeb said that upon receiving a call, fire brigade and medical teams rushed to the spot.

Rescue teams provided first aid and shifted the injured, Muhammad Shiraz (45), to Narowal District Headquarters Hospital.

The firefighting team controlled the fire after an hour.

ROBBER KILLED: A robber was shot dead by his own accomplice during a failed robbery attempt in Sialkot.

Spokesperson of District Police Sialkot Khurram Shahzad said two robbers attempted to rob a fruit vendor at gunpoint on Aimanabad Road.

Fruit vendor Muhammad Nadeem resisted the robbery. One robber opened fire, accidentally hitting his accomplice.

The injured suspect, identified as Mudassar Sabir, died on the spot. The other robber fled the scene.

Police have registered a case and are conducting raid to arrest the fleeing suspect.
