ISLAMABAD, May 4: A five-member delegation of the People’s Party Parliamentarians, led by its chief Makhdoom Amin Fahim, will meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi next week, sources in the party told Dawn on Thursday.

The sources said the delegation would leave Lahore for New Delhi on Monday on a goodwill mission.

They said the PPP leaders would also meet leaders of the Bharatiya Janta Party, including former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. The delegation would call on former deputy prime minister Lal Krishan Advani and foreign minister Jaswant Singh, they said.

The PPP leaders are also scheduled to hold talks with Indian Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahmed.

According to the source, the PPP leaders would not meet Congress chief Sonia Gandhi as she was busy in the campaign for the by-election in Rai Bareli.
