LARKANA: A young man gunned down his unmarried sister and then ended his own life with the same weapon in Salehpur locality, Wagan town, Qambar-Shahdadkot district on Wednesday.

The victims’ relatives said that dead bodies of Alhamdlolillah Chandio, 22, and his unmarried sister Bismillah Chandio, 20, were shifted to Wagan taluka hospital where they underwent medico-legal requirements before they were handed over to relatives.

They said the double murder was the result of a petty domestic issue. However, police were looking at the case from different angles.

Shabbir Chandio, cousin of the victims, said that as soon as Alhamdolillah returned home from his shop the brother and sister began to quarrel over certain petty issues. In the course of their heated arguments they heard gunshots and then received the tragic news of their death, they said.
