SARGODHA: Dengue larvae were found in the Government Girls Pilot School and the Government Iqbal High School, for which notices were issued to the heads of both institutions on Monday.

Health Chief Executive Officer Dr Asad Aslam visited various union councils to check the anti-dengue field teams. He, along with the team, inspected various tyre shops, government and private buildings, and junkyards.

He also visited various classrooms and informed the students about anti-dengue activities and preventive measures.

He urged the students not only to ensure the implementation of anti-dengue SOPs themselves but also to convey this message to others.

PLANTATION: Commissioner Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti has been following the “One Plant for Pakistan” campaign in the four districts of the division for over a week. Free saplings will be distributed to 40,000 college students in the division.

A function was held at the Government Associate College for Girls in Farooq Colony where the commissioner distributed saplings to students and planted saplings in the college garden.

He said that planting plants does not complete the job; their care and growth should be perfect. He urged the students not only to plant their own saplings but also convey this message to others.

He said that the students should become green champions by planting saplings. The commissioner added that the youth is our future and it is up to them to decide whether they want to live in the lush and green Sargodha or not.

He further mentioned that plants are not only the beauty of the surface of the earth, but they also adorn everything on the earth with natural beauty and grace.

FUNDS: Steps are being taken for the construction and development of Sargodha city and the supply of clean drinking water, in addition to drainage, which will help solve the long-standing problems of Sargodha.

At least Rs5 billion is required for the proposed changes in the government, and the government has been requested for this, former state minister Chaudhry Hamid Hameed said. He said if Rs5 billion is made available, both problems in Sargodha will be solved.

Initially, Rs800 million were received from the government, and now efforts are ongoing to secure additional funds. Steps are also being taken to address the cleanliness issues among the staff.
