LAHORE: A modern process service system (e-notice) developed on the instructions of the Lahore High Court has been integrated with the Case Management System (CMS).
In its first phase, the CMS and the e-notice system have been linked to the extent of the model civil court established in Lahore. After the successful trial of the process service, e-notice and the CMS systems have been integrated in all courts working on civil matters in Lahore.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti admired the steps of Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, admin judge for IT of the LHC, and his team. He said the integration of the CMS and e-notice system would help in delivery of speedy and quality justice.
He said the aim was to ensure the provision of justice to the people of the province at their doorstep and all available resources including modern technology were being utilised to achieve this goal. The CJ further said the modern process service system, after the success in Lahore courts, would be linked with the CMS in the entire province.
The system was developed on the instructions of LHC
A statement issued by the LHC says under the modern process service system, there can be no negligence on part of the process server. The process service is made efficient with the help of a GPS system. It would be necessary for the process server to reach the relevant address for compliance of the summons, take a photograph (selfie) while complying with the summons and upload it through the CMS from his mobile phone.
It says the CMS, RMS and e-notice systems have been developed without any cost and these systems proved game changer in the district judiciary.
