LAHORE: Senior PPP leader Sardar Latif Khosa on Saturday called on acting Governor Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and both agreed that all political parties both in the government and opposition should evolve joint strategies for providing relief to the masses.

Mr Elahi said in view of the economic situation of the country, heads of all political parties should be on one page for strengthening the economy of the country. He said all political parties would have to take one stance for the progress of Pakistan and only then it would progress and people would be prosperous.

“Every political party has its own politics and it will remain so but the future of people is related to economically strong Pakistan and for this we need to initiate collective efforts,” the acting governor said, adding that the major portion of the population of the country was spending life today below the poverty line.

“The common man is in a miserable condition and it is the responsibility of all parties that the economy be put on the right track. In the prevailing circumstances betterment of the economy should be a common agenda of the government and the opposition,” Mr Elahi said.

Latif Khosa said all political parties should evolve strategies for providing relief to the people. He assured of playing a role together regarding strengthening of the economy.
