TAXILA: Focal person for the PTI Attock chapter Syed Khawar Abbas Bokhari has said some elements within the ruling party in the district were behind maligning its member of parliament in the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project scam.

Addressing a press conference at his residence in Attock on Friday, Mr Bokhari said his family was being wrongly involved in the project. He said his family had neither any land or other property nor was a stakeholder or beneficiary in the jurisdiction of the project or the entire revenue limits of the area.

He said some elements, who claimed to be a part of the ruling party, were actually damaging the cause of the party and maligning the core leadership just for their political gains.

“These elements have been exposed in front of the public and party leadership due to their activities in the last two years,” he claimed, adding the propaganda by these so-called members of PTI had failed to achieve targets.

“Our family has been serving the people of Attock for the last half a century and never a word has been raised against our integrity” he added.
