RAWALPINDI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration staff on Sunday deported four Russian citizens for arriving in Islamabad without a visa.

According to airport sources, they arrived at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) from Doha via a Qatar Airlines flight at about 12:45pm. The four Russian citizens, sources added, were expecting to get a visa-on-arrival but it wasn’t granted to them, therefore, they were sent back on the same flight.

Separately, a Pakistani expatriate who suffered cardiac arrest on board a flight from Riyadh died shortly after he was taken to the trauma centre on Sunday. According to sources, Dahim Khan, who arrived in Islamabad on PIA flight PK9754, complained to the crew about chest pain.

Immediately after the plane landed, he was rushed to the trauma centre where after about two hours the PIA handling staff was informed that the passenger had passed away.
