THIS refers to the editorial ‘What next in cricket?’ (Jan 12). It rightly bemoaned the performance of the national cricket team against New Zealand, and suggested some technical fixes that may (or may not) have saved the day.

Also, flair, courage and farsightedness are urged upon the head coach and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in that order.

It would be an act of flair, courage and farsightedness, all rolled into one, to disband the national cricket team and the PCB, save enormous millions to the exchequer, and, most significantly, a collective embarrassment and humiliation to an otherwise proud nation every time our stalwarts step on the crease to bat or bowl.

Please show flair, courage and farsightedness. And, please, earn the everlasting gratitude of 220 million Pakistanis who have done you no wrong!
