QUETTA: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) raided a house and found its owner involved in gas theft.

A team of the Security Services and Counter Gas Theft Operations, Quetta, led by retired Lt Col Tahir Shah, found during the raid that gas was being used directly from the distribution line for running a makeshift CNG filling station and arrested the house owner, Mohammad Jan.

It was found that the suspect had installed four compressors illegally to run a CNG station through the SSGC line directly.

The team confiscated the compressors, vehicles and other paraphernalia involved in running an illegal business and handed them over to the police station concerned. An FIR has been lodged against him.
