ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Dr Mohammad Naeem Khan has said that full support would be provided to the families of the police personnel who had rendered unmatched services for the safety and security of the people.

This he said while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a ‘victim support centre’ established at the regional police office here the other day. He said the service would be extended to other parts of the province.

The IGP said it was time rich tributes were paid to the fallen policemen and that umbrella of support to be kept on the families of the police martyrs.

Naeem Khan said the victim support centre would provide legal and other needed support for the early delivery of justice to the victims of crimes. It would also ensure victims’ easy access to the police officers, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG Hazara Mazharul Haq Kakakhail said the centre would go a long way in creating a friendly relationship between the police and the public.

He also briefed the provincial police chief about the law and order situation in all the districts of Hazara division.
