A shopkeeper was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl a day prior in the Khambra village of Taluka Ubauro, Ghotki, Station House Officer (SHO) Qamar Abbas said.

Abbas said a first investigation report (FIR) has been registered against the suspect and initial investigations into the incident have started following his arrest.

According to the victim's father, his daughter went to the shop on Sunday to purchase sweets when the shopkeeper abducted her and raped her in a room next to the shop.

The minor was admitted to Civil Hospital Ubauro in an unconscious state, as per medico-legal officer Dr Afshan. She added that the victim was now out of danger.

The victim's blood sample was collected and sent to the Rohri Laboratory for medical examination and confirmation of rape.

Dr Afshan added that after the report from the chemical laboratory is received, a final report will be sent to the relevant authorities for further action.

When will you learn people, So ignorant of the parents to send a 7 year old girl to a shop alone. Even if it was on the corner of the street or right in front of your house, it doesn't make sense after so many cases reported. Don't see/read news???? Please look after your kids people and use caution, thats the only thing one can control.

I hope it is not one of those labs where the technician running the test is a high school drop out who runs the test on a machine that does not exist in the lab's premises and types up a fictitious report based on his own thoughts and imaginations. If they are really serious about the test results then please send it to a reputable lab and not just a mediocre lab where the technicians are all fifth grade drop outs if even that.

Due to majority of today's people morally corrupted, don't let your young daughters and sons go out alone, must have trustworthy adults accompany them. Parents must inculcate respect and honor the rights and status of women in children since their childhood and father must show good examples to them by his good and kind treatments to female members in the family, this will help eliminating rape incidents in some degrees!
