ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has constituted three teams to improve traffic flow in the city.

The teams will guide citizens about traffic rules and create awareness about road safety. According to SSP (ITP) Farrukh Rasheed, the education team will gather information about underage drivers, one-wheelers and motorcyclists without helmets.

The information will be transmitted to their parents via SMS so that they could monitor the activities of their children and guide them about traffic rules.

Awareness seminars, FM radio and other forums will be used to educate the citizens about traffic rules.

The patrolling team will visit various highways and award certificates to citizens driving according to the rules.

The social media team will gather complaints from citizens on a daily basis and bring them in the notice of senior officers so these can be addressed on priority.
