I FEEL ashamed to write about the dirtiness of the city of Karachi. Wherever you go you find rubbish. Clifton and Defence are considered to be modern localities, but even here rubbish is found in the streets and remains uncollected.

Children don’t understand the consequences of it and are seen playing around in the midst of litter and garbage. The poor are seen collecting usable items –a great risk to their health. I feel sorry that the authorities concerned should let this state of affairs continue. I urge the government to take immediate steps to create public awareness about throwing unwanted stuff in the streets and make arrangement for collecting the garbage regularly in the interest of public health.
