Major General Mohammad Saeed has been appointed as director general (DG) Pakistan Rangers Sindh, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.

The statement added that Major General Nadeem Anjum has been appointed as inspector general Frontier Corps in Balochistan.

Both Mohammad Saeed and Nadeem Anjum were promoted to Major General from the rank of Brigadier in Jan 2016.

Saeed will be replacing Lt Gen Bilal Akbar, who was appointed as Chief of General Staff.

Bilal Akbar had been serving as DG Rangers Sindh since August 2014.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan Army had made significant postings and transfers, including the transfer of the ISI chief and DG Rangers Sindh.

Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar was appointed as DG ISI. Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar was posted as President National Defence University, Lt Gen Nazir Butt, presiding NDU had been appointed Corps Commander Peshawar (11 Corps).

Lt Gen Hidayat ur Rehman, serving as Corps Commander Peshawar had been appointed IGT training and Evaluation (IGT&E) at GHQ.
