Sugarcane crushing process starts

NAWABSHAH, Nov 15: Three sugar mills of the district, Habib Sugar Mills, Al-Noor Sugar Mills and Sakrand Sugar Mills, fired their boilers on Saturday to start sugarcane crushing season.

The management of the Habib Sugar Mills said that the crushing would start from Nov 28 as pressure of the machines had to be checked in the meantime.

So far, the mills have not issued any purchase orders to sugarcane growers.

ACCIDENT: A person was killed and two others were injured when a truck collided with a car on the National Highway near Daulatpur on Saturday.
