KARACHI: Unidentified men attacked the houses of two transporters with hand grenades in Karachi’s Mianwali Colony, DawnNews reported.

One of the attacks also damaged nearby shops and a mosque. No loss of life was reported in either of the attacks.

The blasts had taken place outside the transporters’ houses.

“The attackers, riding a motorcycle, lobbed a grenade outside the house,” said witnesses from one of the incidents.

Both transporters said they had recently received calls seeking extortion money.

The attacks spread panic among the residents of the colony.
