KHAIRPUR, Dec 30 The People`s Panel won all but one post in the annual elections of Khairpur District Bar Association on Monday.

The counting continued till late night. Syed Bachal Shah was elected president by defeating Abdul Qayoom Shaikh. Haji Asadullah Maitlo was elected general secretary by defeating Irshad Dharejo. Yasir Shar was elected joint secretary, Atta Hussain Chandio librarian and Ms Khursheed Abbas Dashti treasure.

However, Manzoor Ansari defeated the People`s Panel candidate for the seat of vice-president.Habibur Rehman Shaikh, Aziz Ahmed Khwaja, Abdul Sattar Phul, Liaquat Ali Maitlo, Abdul Latif Memon and Abdul Hussain Mari were elected members of management committee.

RECOVERY The parents of a kidnapped youth, Imran Khuhro, along with minor girls carrying the Holy Book went from village to village in the kutcha area on Tuesday to seek recovery of his son.

Ali Murad Khuhro, the father of Imran Khuhro, visited different villages of the kutcha area and appealed to the people to help him recover his son.

He said that his son worked at a restaurant in Razidero and had been kidnapped on his way back to his Dilawar Khuhro village.
