QUETTA, Nov 29: Pakistan Muslim League-Q and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal would form a coalition government in Balochistan and Jam Mohammad Yousaf of PML-Q would be chief minister.

Jamal Shah Kakar of the MMA will be speaker and Mir Mohammad Aslam Bhootani of the PML-Q would be deputy speaker.

This was announced by Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani provincial MMA chief and Jam Mohammad Yousaf joint parliamentary leader of Grand National Alliance at a joint news conference held late on Friday night.

They said that in the MMA and PML-Q’s leaders’ meeting held with Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali in Quetta both parties agreed to a 12-point decision, which was singed by parliamentary leaders, Maulana Abdul Wasay of the MMA and Jam Mohammad Yousaf of PML-Q.

Maulana Sherani said that the MMA would extend all possible help and cooperation to Jam Yousaf in running the affairs of the province.

He said that according to the agreement two jailed former provincial ministers of the JUI, Haji Behram Khan Achakzai and Sardar Hafeezullah Khan Luni, were released from Much Jail on Friday evening.

Jam Yousaf thanked the MMA leadership for extending parliamentary cooperation in the forming of a PML-Q -led coalition in Balochistan.

According to the agreement, the chief minister in his first speech would announce a ban on the sale and use of liquor in the province and an official notification in this connection would be issued on the same day.
