PESHAWAR: The spectators were treated to a fine brand of polo match played between teams of 11 Corps Red and 11 Corps Black of Army at the Peshawar garrison polo ground here on Monday.

Corps Commander Lt-Gen Hidayat ur Rehman was the chief guest who awarded prizes to the winners of polo exhibition match.

The players and their ponies continuously jostled for the lead with each taking their turn at the top. However, the 11 Corps Red emerged the winners defeating the 11 Corps Black 2 to 1 goals. The wining team was awarded prizes by the corps commander.

During the break time spectators were enthralled by a musical band of the Frontier Corps. The match was witnessed by a large number of spectators, including army officers, women and children.
