DERA GHAZI KHAN: Police claimed to have arrested on Wednesday night three members of a banned outfit from a mosque in Railway Colony adjacent to the Circuit House.

District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Maikan said the three men arrested during a raid belonged to the Al-Farooq group, former allies of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Police also seized ammunition from the suspects, including three hand grenades, two 30-bore pistols and 16 bullets. The arrested men were identified as Saiful Islam, Javed Iqbal and Ghulam Sarwar. Saif is said to be an expert in making explosive devices and a former student of the Karachi University.

Police say the Circuit House may have been the target of these “terrorists” as it often hosts state guests.
