MINGORA: People from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country thronged the Swat valley as the local tourist resorts, including Miandam, Kalam and Malam Jabba, received snowfall on Tuesday.

The snowfall in the hilly areas of the district also caused significant drop in temperature in Mingora city and its adjoining areas, where people have been braving cold wave from last few days.

The tourists from other provinces, including those from Sindh, have been enjoying snowfall at Miandam and other hilly areas of Swat.

Adeeba, 15, a resident of Karachi, said that Swat was a very beautiful place and people should come here for enjoying the snowfall. She said that the area was peaceful and the visitors should come for conveying the message to the rest of the world.

Makhdoom, a resident of Karachi, said that he came here along with his family for the first time and they were inspired by the natural beauty of Swat valley.
