Man killed in Dir roof collapse

LOWER DIR: A man was killed and another injured when the roof of an under-construction room collapsed in Lal Qila area of Maidan tehsil here the other day, Rescue 1122 officials said.

They said that Rescue 1122 disaster response and medical teams rushed to the scene soon after receiving information about the incident. Rescue personnel, assisted by locals, launched a prompt operation and pulled the trapped individuals from the debris.

One of the victims, identified as Izzat Khan, was found dead under the rubble while Raham was rescued in injured condition. After receiving first aid at the scene, the injured was shifted to a hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, four people sustained injuries during a clash in Kata Sar area of Munda.

Rescue 1122 teams provided emergency medical treatment to the injured and shifted them to hospital. On the advice of doctors, the injured were later referred to district headquarters hospital in Timergara.
