MANSEHRA: Twenty-one employees of the University of the Punjab were injured after their bus plunged into a deep ravine near Balakot here on Sunday.The bus carrying the employees skidded off the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road and plunged into a deep ravine in the Damgalla area near Balakot after the driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle.
“Our teams rushed to the scene with six ambulances and shifted all the injured to hospitals,” District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Ibrar Ali told reporters.
The residents and Rescue 1122 personnel aided the injured visitors, who were on their way back from the Kaghan Valley to Lahore after a recreational trip and shifted them to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Balakot and King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra.
The hospital officials said all the 21 injured employees were admitted for treatment and their condition was stable.Meanwhile, the police said that body of a man was found hanging inside a room of a house in Shinkiari.
The police registered a first information report (FIR) and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the death of the man identified as Mohammad Nadeem.
