Oil prices continue to rise, with both benchmarks opening higher as the war in the Middle East disrupts global supplies, reports AFP.

Around 2230 GMT, shortly after the Chicago Mercantile Exchange opened, US benchmark West Texas Intermediate rose 2.43 per cent to $100.11 a barrel, while the price of Brent, the international benchmark for oil, was up 2.82pc to $106.05 a barrel.
