QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to declare the historic Hinglaj Mata Temple, located in Lasbela district, as a world tourism site.

The decision was taken during a meeting between Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Senator Danesh Kumar, during which they discussed initiatives to promote minority religious tourism in the province.

The Hinglaj Mata Temple is a centuries-old spiritual site revered by the Hindu community, especially in Balochistan. It draws hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from across the country and abroad every year.

The Balochistan government has taken this step to enhance minority religious tourism and present a positive image of the province on the global stage.

CM Bugti said Balochistan is a land that embraces all nationalities and cultures, and the Hinglaj Mata Temple stands as a symbol of the province’s rich heritage, history and tolerance.

Special funds for the renovation and infrastructure development of the Hinglaj Mata Temple have also been allocated in the provincial budget.
