KARACHI: A convention of all the Opposition parties and groups in the country will be held at Lahore’s Mochi Gate on June 14 and 15, Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani announced yesterday [May 30]. Addressing a Press conference, the JUP chief said that besides the Opposition Senators, MNAs, MPAs and Parliamentary leaders, the convention will also be attended by representatives of student, labour and other sections of society.

He said that among the participants will be Tehrik-i-Istiqlal Chief, Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan and Sardar Abdul Qaiyum of Kashmir Muslim Conference. Among other things, he said, the conference will discuss the present political situation and suggest the future course of action for the Opposition in and outside the Assemblies. …
