TOBA TEK SINGH: A man died after getting his neck trapped in a ventilating window of a tea shop in Chak 160-GB Kaleky, Gojra, late on Thursday.

Reports said Qamar Abbas, of Abbas Nagar, Narowal, currently living in the same village, attempted to enter the shop through its ventilator reportedly to steal cash and valuables.

However, his head and face became stuck, and he was unable to move forward or retreat. It is believed that because of the suffocation, he died.

Residents found him in the morning and called Rescue 1122.

Rescuers found that Abbas had already died by the time they arrived.
