KARACHI: The provincial cabinet has decided that no unregistered local or imported vehicle will be allowed on roads, prohibiting car dealers and showroom owners from selling unregistered vehicles.

The cabinet approved the amendment to the Provincial Motor Vehicle Ordinance (PMVO) 1965 to ensure swift registration of vehicles, enhance public safety by preventing the misuse of unregistered vehicles for illegal activities.

According to the amendments, driving unregistered vehicles in the province will be prohibited.

The cabinet also prohibited dealers and showroom owners from selling unregistered vehicles and warned that responsibility for registration irregularities would be placed on dealers and showroom owners.
